What’s in my Park Bag
I’ve already talked about the biggest mistakes I’ve made in Disney World, and overpacking for a day in the park is nearly at the top of that list. Here’s what I pack in my park bag (plus my favorite park bag) as a thirty-something in the parks without kids.

The Park Bag: Corkcicle Mickey Ears Crossbody Water Bottle Sling
Cute, functional, and comfortable to wear all day in the park, even with a 40 oz water bottle in it. This makes the trip to Orlando with me every time, and I never regret it. Plus, it carries more of your essentials than you’d think!
The Water Bottle: Owala Freesip 40 ounce
This is my favorite water bottle in and out of the parks. It fits well in the sling, and you can take a sip without taking it out of the bag, if you’re on the move. Also, it’s fairly standard these days, but double wall insulation is a must in Florida heat!
The Charger: Fuelrod USB-C Chargers
Fuelrod chargers are great, they charge quickly and come with adapters for all kinds of devices, but it’s the convenience that really makes a difference for me. There are kiosks throughout Disney World where you can trade out empty fuelrods for fully charged ones for free, meaning you never have to worry about your battery running out in Disney. You can also purchase the chargers at the kiosks, but they are half the price on Amazon, so I suggest stocking up (at least one per phone) before you go!
The Sunscreen: Vacation Original Lotion SPF 50
I love the nostalgic scent of this sunscreen, and most importantly, it does the job for both my husband and I (who are very prone to burning), even in August in the Florida sun!
The Hand Sanitizer: Touchland Spray
I discovered Touchland because they used to have a Mickey collab version of their classic scents. While those are long gone, I still like the convenience of the spray, and believe me, you will want some sanitizer in the parks, even if you’re not a germophobe!
You can’t beat Aquaphor for a simple lip balm that gets the job done, and the jumbo size makes it a lot harder to lose in your bag!
I love these electrolytes for my running (both at Disney and at home), since they are sugar free, don’t taste too fake, and seem to dissolve in water more easily than other brands. Instead of dirtying my water bottle, I dump one into a free quick service water cup when I’m feeling dehydrated.
Listen, I’m not saying you need to go out and buy new sunglasses just for Disney. What I am saying is that these are designed not to slip or bounce when you’re sweating, come in fun styles and colors perfect for the parks, and are priced so that you’re not heartbroken if they get lost, fall off on a ride, or meet some other untimely end in the Parks.
And, that’s it! Just one note - if you need something like a poncho, those can be purchased in the parks (they’re not as cheap as they are at your local dollar store, but they’re not going to break the bank) and then you don’t have to haul around a wet poncho for the rest of the day!
